The best burger I've ever tasted!! Small amount of searing especially in a rainy day so be prepared to scope out a place to sit. Otherwise great place!!!

The Lao burger is excellent. I love the crispy, savory smash burgers inside a toasted bun with picked vegetables and pork belly and cilantro. It really was one of the best burgers I've ever had. Their thick fries were very tasty too. Some kind of spice dusting was on them and went perfectly with the burger.

Holy Cow the Lao Burger is SOOOO GOOD. + toasted bun + double smash burger with melty provolone + cilantro, crunchy taro root, and yummy sauces + pickled onions It's definitely not a traditional smash burger but you have to try it. Also their fries were perfect - nice and crispy. Try the garlic lime leaf aioli with them. Service is counter service, with food delivered to wherever you sit. Interior is on the smaller side, with maybe 4-5 tables and countertop seating also available.

As an American. I will say. This without exaggeration is my favorite burger of all time easy. The flavor with the lemongrass and juicy meat and cilantro is godly. Taking a bite is looking into the face of God. Again no exaggeration. Please eat this thing. You won't regret.

My favorite burger spot in the area. I am addicted to the Lao Burger. It's the perfect combination of flavor and textures while still carrying the value and weight of a burger at its price point. Another thing I love about this spot is they don't skimp out on fries. One side of fries is good for a group of three honestly. Any of their house made condiments are delicious, although i prefer the jaew bong mayo. I've been here 5 times in the last 3 months, I need to chill out lol

Ox Burger has been on my radar for some time as there are definitely times where the cravings want a delicious and filling burger. I was a fan of Taurus Ox, and I was excited to hear that there was a burger joint opening up where the old Taurus Ox location was, and also based off of the similar types of flavors! I decided to swing by on a Friday around 6pm and was able to get a seat at the bar area just next to the kitchen. Like most places in Cap Hill, parking can be difficult to find. There are some spots streetside in the nearby residential area that you can park at - We parked at about a 5-10 minute walk away. The restaurant itself faces a busy street, you cross a crosswalk and your right at the restaurant. Inside, there isn't too many place to sit - maybe 7 seats on the left side and 4-6 seats on the other side. I can see on very busy times of the day, you should not consider eating in and just get your burger to go. Ordering is fast, and everything is self service, include busing your area after you are done. I wanted to try two different sandwiches that Ox Burger had to offer, which I'll review down below: Lao Burger ($15): One of the more flavor packed and unique tasting burgers that I have tried! This is a pungent burger in the tastiest sense - the various jaew bong flavor elements give the burger another level of fragrance and savory flavor. The savoriness is further intensified by the cured pork belly, and the cilantro and pickled onion give it a pleasant refreshing aftertaste. This is a hearty burger with two patties! Though, I personally think that paying $15 for just the burger is very much on the expensive side of burgers I've had. During happy hour, this burger is $14, which is a bit better, but I think it's still on the pricier side of things. If you are feeling like trying this burger out, I would recommend coming during Happy Hour, which is Tues - Sat 2-6pm. Spicy Chicken Sandwich ($10): A nicely fried chicken sandwich that stayed piping hot for a while even after reaching our table, which is great as we know it's super fresh. Nice crunch on the crust, and seasoned decently with good helping of mayo to compliment the chicken. I would say this is getting to better priced as it's a good amount of chicken for this sandwich. In the end, I think that Ox Burger is pretty tasty and if you are looking for some flavorful burgers, this place will satisfy that. Though, I think that outside of the happy hour time frame, I wouldn't visit as things tend to lean on the pricier side of burgers and chicken sandwiches in my opinion. I would revisit again if I'm craving the unique Lao burger in the future.

Ox Burger is a decent place to get a burger. My fries were ever so slightly under done, but the flavors were great. If you're in the area give it a try.

The Lao Burger... ooey, gooey, somehow crispy at the same time, rich, decadent. I don't know how they pull it off but this is one incredible burger! I was a little worried about pork belly being on there and making it too rich but it was thinly sliced making it almost like bacon... yummm. There was the perfect amount of cheese and sauce, with a bit of crunch from the taro. The pickles onion provided the perfect tang to balance out the richness. As a tourist it's hard for me to claim this is Seattle's best burger but surely it's in the running!

THIS. THIS is my nomination for the best burger in Seattle. I wish the picture did it justice, but the Lao burger is everything you want in a disgustingly decadent burger. Did I feel kind of gross and greasy afterwards? Yes. Was it worth every single bite? Absolutely. I'm usually weary of smash burgers because I like my burgers meaty, however Ox Burger does it right by loading it up with two patties. And all that greasy goodness from frying the burgers gets soaked into the bun for maximum umami flavor. The Lao burger is topped with pickled onion and tomato which cut the richness and add balance. Street parking only in this area. The residential areas have 2 hours free parking if you can snag a spot.

We arrived within HH and tried the house smash burger and the HH cheeseburger with fries. Service was friendly and quick. My burger, with two on the side mods, was correct and uniquely tasty. My honey's mods took a remake for his extra patty and no pickles. The fries are super hot and like eating out of a salt shaker. They were prohibitively salty, though unique in their cut/thickness. I would order them unseasoned if possible. Be gentle with the sauces on your buns here, the salt layers quick with other cured meats. The place was constantly busy and people were in good spirits in the neighborhood and we easily found a spot to park on the side street.
